Uh Oh ...

Uh Oh ...

Day 14. Pencils.

“This planet was supposed to be free of life … ,” thought Zaforg.

It may be after that thing’s done with you. Well, save the lone monster. At least we think it’s the only one. Can’t be sure.

“I’m so not equipped for this. I’m just a scientist. ‘It’s just a fact finding mission.’ those dolts told me. Oh yeah, ‘like a vacation’, they said! Jerks.

“I’m starting to think nobody likes me at work?! That’s what I get for having too many drinks and hitting on the boss’ daughter, I guess,” Zaforg continued to ponder.

What to do? What to do? I guess we’ll have to tune in another day to find out. I, for one, am pulling for Zaforg. Poor guy.

But has anyone considered the monster’s situation? I’d proffer that no one ever does. Maybe he’s lonely. Then again, maybe he’s real hungry.

Either way, Zaforg’s in a tight spot. Between a rock and monster. Think of that next time you’re in a pickle. You could be staring down the barrel of hungry monster, or worse yet, a lonely one.

‘Til next time space travellers.

Squid Gurl

Squid Gurl

Day 13. Almost 2 whole weeks. For this one I chose to be more colorful again. I think I’ll go to grayscale pencil next time.

I don’t really have much to say about Squid Gurl. She’s a girly squid thingy. She’s purple, has tentacles, eyelashes, hair, et al.

Pencils, ink and paper. Coloring like this can really blow through pencils. I’m gonna have to by some blue pencils now.

Later, taters.

Day 12 · 18 Aug 09 · Stephen Tobias Feely, III.

Little Gay Sharpie

Little Gay Sharpie

Day 12. This one’s for Hannah. It’s the little gay Sharpie, Stephen Tobias Feely, III (it’s just a pen name). Don’t worry he was born that way. Have you ever seen a marker change color after their birth? I didn’t think so.

Turn ons include:
  • Hangin’ out on a necklace
  • Snuggling with the other little Sharpies
  • Getting’ wild and takin’ his cap off
  • Leather vests
  • Hairy chests
Turn offs:
  • Mean people
  • Highlighters
  • Post-It Pens who think they’re all that
Aspirations:
Favorite Quote:
  • “There’s no secrets between sailors!”

You’ll notice there’s a lot more color in this one. It seemed appropriate for the subject matter. I used markers, pencils, and, yes, I was listening to Queen at the time.

Enjoy.

Oh, And One More Thing

Oh, And One More Thing

Day 11. This one is all pencil. I’m not sure I like the pencils as much as markers.

I struggled with the legs, which is why he has none. I like his pill shaped head and the bubbling blue liquid in his belly. I think that’s the plasma that powers his insides.

Thoughts?

Day 10 · 16 Aug 09 · Living Dead Guy

Living Dead Guy

Living Dead Guy

Day 10. It was just a matter of time before I got a zombie in here. I think he’s in a swamp/graveyard so it must be Louisiana. Wait … that may have come across wrong. I heard a long time ago that because of the swamps and moisture of the ground in Louisiana they usually bury people above ground so they don’t float up. Given that information it would stand to reason that there had to be a graveyard somewhere that did have some bodies float up prompting the people of LA to find different means of burial.

Markers. Pencils. Paper.

Enjoy.

Day 9 · 15 Aug 09 · Mr. Smitty

Mr. Smitty

Day 9. Hello ladies and chaps. Sit back and let Mr. Smitty spin a tale while smokin’ his favorite stogie. Not sure where his lips are or, for that matter, lungs, but I’m sure he’ll make it work. Gentlemen always do.

I think I may have to retire the markers for a while. They kind of annoy me right now. Maybe I’ll stick with ‘em. Who knows. It’s all up in the air. I definitely need to start on these things earlier in the evening though.

Smoke if ya gottem!

Day 8. I stayed in the robot realm this time. I thought I’d try a heavy outer line with a thin overall outline … makes sense when you look at it.

I struggled a little with my depth and perspective on this one. Plus I am not quite a master of brush markers yet. Still I like the deco styling on the body.

Gaze. Study. Enjoy. Comment. Tell me what you like and what you don’t like. I’m still learning how to do this better and more efficiently.

Henry's Had Enough

Henry's Had Enough

Day 7. It doesn’t seem like it’s been a week since I started this. Good times. Good times.

Henry’s had enough. He’s leaving the rat race and striking out on his own for a new life. Whatever kind of life a robot can have anyway. I think he’s found a new friend in the process.

Let me know your thoughts. Enjoy.

Cephy

Day 6. Today is my 32nd birthday, so here’s a party animal for y’all. He might be a little drunk. The dark in the background kind of reminds me of squid ink so maybe he’s a party pooper.

I almost had this in before midnight, but my scanner was not down for that.

Happy birthday to me. Here’s to you Cephy!
